Crystal River Church of God is a dynamic house of worship and people drive from all over Citrus County as well as surrounding counties to attend. Pastors Ronnie & Sherry Reid implemented a vision for Crystal River Church of God to be a place where people can find focus for living. He came to realize that most people are failing in life due to broken focus. So, every program we implement, every outreach we do, every ministry within our campus is designed to bring people into focus for living in 3 ways, to focus on God, focus on others and focus on ministry. By Focusing on God, we are able to feel his mercy and grace, and we are able to witness his blessings in our lives by knowing him more personally. By Focusing on Others, we are able to empower and equip the body and release them into their destiny to effectively minister. By Focusing on Ministry, we are able to help those seeking to discover their gifting and calling in God, and find joy in life-giving ministry. By Focusing on Living--a life worthy of the gospel, we are able to come into a deeper, richer, fellowship with God and feel the passion of his presence, while experiencing the fruitfulness and joy in our lives.
Pastors Ronnie & Sherry Reid came to Crystal River Church of God in 1993, moving from Blountstown, Fl. When Pastor Ronnie came, Crystal River Church of God consisted of one building and about 40 people. Pastor Ronnie began the hard work of learning the community, getting to know the families in Crystal River. Pretty soon the church began to grow and soon thereafter, two services had to be implemented to accommodate the people who were flocking to Crystal River Church of God. Since 1993 we’ve added 3 portable buildings to accommodate our growing children and youth departments, and they are still in use today! In June of 2008, our new sanctuary was built. Our first service in the new sanctuary was June 6th, 2008.
We have continued with two services in the new sanctuary. We have come a long way from 40 people attending Crystal River Church of God in 1993, to 700 people attending on a normal Sunday! Crystal River Church of God also includes a 4 acre parcel of land directly between our current campus and US 19. This land houses a 15,000-square-foot building known as the “Ministry Complex”. It houses offices for staff, El Shaddai food pantry, Young Adults sanctuary and Youth sanctuary. Crystal River Church of God has been a vibrant church since its humble beginnings and we thrive on worship experiences that allow the Holy Spirit to move and allow people the freedom to worship God in a God-honoring way.

John 10:10 is Pastor Ronnie’s life verse:
“The thief comes only to kill, steal and destroy; but I have come so that they may have life and have it more abundantly.”
