Lead Pastor
The third generation of a Spirit-filled family, Ronnie Reid experienced firsthand the dynamics of pastoral ministry from childhood. The son of a Pastor, he grew up in a family with ten other siblings, and the one thing he did not want to do with his life—was to become a pastor. After no small struggle, Ronnie finally accepted God’s call into ministry. His personality and a God-given love for people have helped him to become a dynamic pastor who delivers the Word of God with an everyday understandable perspective on living in a real relationship with God.
He is both an anointed singer and musician, and plays multiple instruments. With a passion for worship, he brings a heartfelt thanksgiving and attitude of humility as he leads people in worship and into the presence of God.
He considers himself privileged to be the current pastor of the Crystal River Church of God which is considered, by many, to be one of the most exciting churches in the West Central Florida. Under his leadership, the church at Crystal River has grown tremendously and is poised to move to the next level.
He is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, he has served the Church of God by serving on the Florida State Youth Board 2002-2004, the International Cross Cultural Youth Board 2004-2008, the Florida State Council 2004-2008, the Florida State Evangelism Board 2008-2010 and is presently serving as Chairman of Florida State Council. He is the Regional Bishop over 14 churches in Florida, and has preached and led worship at Florida Church of God Summer and Winter Camp meeting, and Michigan Summer Camp meeting.
Sherry Reid, is a dynamic woman of faith and the Word. In addition to ministry at Crystal River, she serves as a member of the Florida State Women’s Ministry Board, and on the Heart of Florida Youth Ranch Board. She has spoken at numerous women’s functions and conferences as a keynote speaker and continually receives invitations to minister to women. Sherry is a talented singer, and has an unusual anointing for prayer, which she does not take lightly. She has been used with that gifting to break strongholds and see men and women set free. Sherry is the epitome of womanhood, motherhood and partnership, with an engaging personality that causes everyone to stop and listen to what she has to say.
Pastor Ronnie and Sherry have been married since 1986 and have two daughters Jillian Joy, and Lauren Alexis.
